Yes, I also have a thing for feline 'taurs! The conbadge is by Jim Groat, of my FurryMUCK character. The b/w art is Dover (SJ) drawn as a 'taur for me by John Robey. Note that Dover is normally a regular cheetah-morph, not a 'taur. (Thus his confusion! :) The photo is of me and my cat, Panta. He's the one my description on FurryMUCK is based on. He truly does have a triangular patch of white on his chest. You can see a little bit of it in the picture. (The "official" description is of a black cat'taur. However, Jim pointed out that drawing him black on a conbadge would blank out any details, thus brown.)

Biographical Information

I am a 35 year old gay pagan man. I'm currently living in Phoenix AZ. I moved here from Rantoul IL after living in Kansas City MO for a little over 7 years. I moved to KC from San Francisco in January 1993. ("What?!?!" I can hear some of you yelling, "Why would you move to Kansas City from San Francisco?!?" Sorta long story. One I might tell when I get to know you better. «g»)

I'm originally from southern Illinois, small town by the name of Cobden. At one time, we held the Guiness World Record for having the widest street, or so I was told when I was a kid.

I went to college at Southern Illinois University at Carbondale. That was a mistake. Not because it was a bad school (it's NOT! I enjoyed my time there.) but because it was to close to home (15 miles).I couldn't really let myself go and experience everything I wanted too, because I was afraid of parents finding out. (My dad was a state trooper, and ALWAYS seemed to find out stuff I didn't want him to.)

I wish I had gone to the University of Illinois at Champaign-Urbana. For one, because it was further away from home (but closer to where we lived for a few years when I was a kid) and also because it has a Masters of Library Information Science program. That's what I wanted to be at the time. Still do in fact. I took a long vacation after getting my BA, and ended up in San Francisco for a year and a half... It's so hard to get back into school when you've been out for a few years.

Job Information

I am currently a scan coordinator and supervisor at an Osco Drugs pharmact in Champaign. I've been at this store since 15 April 2000. As scan coordinator, I'm in charge of making sure the items scan at the register the price that is on the shelf tag. This includes auditing the items on a regular basis, changing the shelf tags when the prices change, and putting up sale tags. (I do get help with the sale tags! «G») Contrary to popular opinion, not everything goes up. Some items do decrease. In fact, some weeks, I have more decreasing tags than increasing tags.

Osco is a division of American Stores Company, which recently merged with (read: was bought by) Albertson's. So far, I've not seen any change. So far.....

I enjoy reading a wide variety of books and magazines, but I do tend to focus on...
Science Fiction / Fantasy
Especially the sub-genres of Hard Science Fiction, Urban Fantasy and Anthropomorphics.
Comics
I don't really call myself a collector, more of an accumulator. «g» I tend to very rarely get rid of books or comics I've bought. Magazines tend to go faster, but I've still got several old issues of "Discover Magazine" floating around the apartment.
